Safety First.

Our approach to safety.
At KGK Energy, safety is not a policy document that sits in a filing cabinet. It is an operational discipline that governs how we handle, store, transport and deliver fuel every single day. Fuel is a hazardous product. It requires proper handling at every stage of the supply chain, from bulk storage through transport to final delivery. We take that responsibility seriously because the consequences of getting it wrong affect not just our business, but our employees, our customers and the communities around us.
Standards at every stage.
Storage and Handling
All fuel storage and handling operations comply with applicable safety regulations and industry standards. Our storage facilities are designed, maintained and monitored to prevent spills, contamination and safety incidents. Regular inspections and maintenance schedules ensure that infrastructure remains in safe working condition.
Transport and Delivery
Our delivery fleet operates under strict safety protocols. Vehicles are maintained to high standards, drivers receive regular safety training and routes are planned to minimise risk. Every delivery follows established procedures for safe fuel transfer, including proper grounding, spill prevention and emergency response readiness.
Personnel
Training
Every member of the KGK Energy team who handles fuel receives comprehensive safety training. This includes initial certification, ongoing refresher training and practical emergency response drills. Safety training is not a one-time event. It is an ongoing commitment.
Emergency Response
KGK Energy maintains emergency response protocols for every stage of our operations. Our teams are trained to respond quickly and effectively to spills, leaks, fires and other safety incidents. Emergency equipment is maintained and accessible across all operational sites and delivery vehicles.
Compliance to safety.
KGK Energy operates in compliance with all applicable Zimbabwean regulations governing fuel storage, transport and distribution. We maintain the licences, permits and certifications required for legal and safe operation of our business.
Regulatory compliance is the baseline, not the ceiling. Where our own standards exceed regulatory requirements, we follow our own standards. Our goal is to operate the safest fuel delivery service in Zimbabwe.
Operational protocols.
Daily Operations
Safety checks are integrated into daily operations, including vehicle inspections, equipment checks and site assessments before every shift and delivery.
Incident Reporting
All safety incidents, near misses and observations are reported, documented and reviewed. We learn from every event and use that information to improve our operations.
Continuous Improvement
Safety performance is reviewed regularly at the operational and management level. We identify trends, address recurring issues and invest in improvements to facilities, equipment and training.
We believe that a strong safety culture starts with leadership and is maintained by every person in the organisation. No delivery schedule, no customer request and no commercial pressure overrides our commitment to operating safely.
